(Alfasud) Sprint (902_), 09.1976 – 12.1989

Compared to the normal Alfasud, the Sprint had a completely unique body shape. As with the Alfasud, the technical special features were front-wheel drive and a longitudinal, water-cooled boxer engine with four cylinders.
The engine initially started with 1.3 liters, then developed to 1.4 and 1.5 liters as part of the facelift in early summer 1983. The 1.7 liter engine from the Alfa Romeo 33 was later installed.
With a production number of 121,434 units, the Alfasud Sprint is one of the successful models of the Alfa Romeo brand. However, rust and various workmanship defects – as with the sedan – have often severely limited the enjoyment of owning the car.
