Scirocco I (Typ 53), 1974 – 1981

Scirocco Mk I

In 1974, it was time for a successor to the Karmann Ghia, and the Scirocco I saw the light of day in Osnabrück. The Type 53 was designed by Giugiaro and impressed with its modern and sporty design. The sports coupé was based on the Golf I and, in its top-of-the-line GLI version, boasted a full 110 hp. Models like the CL, SL, and Storm quickly made the Scirocco, which received a facelift in 1977 (plastic bumpers), a success and now a sought-after classic.

With a bit of luck, some original parts in the usual Volkswagen quality are still available. Sheet metal parts, mirrors, emblems, fenders, and headlights are just some of the items in parts warehouses around the world. Of course, we maintain constant contact with our suppliers to keep you up-to-date.

All possible, and even seemingly impossible, Scirocco 1 parts can be found here...
