Engine oils

Mineral, semi-synthetic and fully synthetic oil - Explanatory definitions, differences and examples
Many people who are thinking about buying a new engine oil for their vehicle will sooner or later come across the terms mentioned above. But what properties do these oils have? And why should a fully synthetic oil be better than a mineral product at the end of the day? In this article we want to clarify these and other questions.
One thing is clear: every oil is like a dish and the oil manufacturers are the cooks. As cooks are, they don't like to reveal their ingredients in order to set themselves apart from the competition. This is no different in the oil industry. Every manufacturer uses an individual recipe and production method for their oils in order to set themselves apart from the other manufacturers as best as possible - they don't have to reveal how they do this to anyone.
In order to give this rather confusing construct a certain structure, the oils have been divided into the following areas: Mineral, semi-synthetic and fully synthetic ....
- Engine oils
- Mineral oils
- Semi-synthetic oils
- Fully synthetic oils
- Longlive oils
- Engine oils Classic / Oldtimer
- Racing oils
