Semi-synthetic oils

Semi-synthetic and fully synthetic oils
We are grouping these two types of oil together because they are basically aimed at the same thing. Just as vehicles are constantly evolving, oils also have to be continually adapted to new engines. At some point, mineral oil was no longer sufficient to ensure proper engine operation.
The oil industry has therefore continued to adapt the manufacturing process for engine oils. New ways of adjusting the oil have been developed and chemical additives have been found to make the oil more adaptable, more durable and more practical. The additives are known in technical terms as "additives".
Research into increasingly complex manufacturing processes has continued to advance. To the point where the laboratories of the major oil manufacturers go so far as to take the oils apart on a molecular basis, structure them and reassemble them according to the desired properties. In addition, the production and admixture of additives has of course also continued to develop.
