Mondeo ’13, Mk5 (Typ BA7), 2014 – 2022
The fifth-generation Mondeo was again available as a hatchback, sedan, and station wagon.
As a sedan, it now has coupé-like features. The sedan version was offered exclusively as a hybrid, Vignale, or Vignale Hybrid. Unlike its predecessor, this Mondeo was originally intended to be sold worldwide starting in fall 2013.
The station wagon was developed specifically for Europe and was only produced and sold here. Due to the closure of the Belgian Ford plant in Genk, the market launch was postponed by about a year.
At its market launch on February 7, 2015, diesel engines were available alongside the 1.5- and 2.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline engines. Available in 1.6 and 2.0-liter engines.
The Mondeo was also available as a full hybrid version with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, which, combined with the electric motor, produces 140 kW.
