90 (162__), 1984 – 1987

From October 1984, the Alfa 90 replaced the Alfetta, which had been built since March 1972. Like the Alfetta, the Alfa 90 also had a transaxle drive with a five-speed gearbox. The body was designed at Bertone under the responsible designer Marcello Gandini.
Various engines from 100 hp were available to choose from: four-cylinder with 1.8 and 2.0 liter displacement and six-cylinder with 2.0 and 2.5 liter displacement. The most powerful version produced 156 hp and enabled a top speed of 205 km/h. Also available was the Alfa 90 with a 110 hp 2.4-liter turbodiesel produced by VM Motori.
