Spider Mk I "Duetto" (105/115), 1966 – 1993

The Alfa Romeo Spider is a convertible from the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo.
The first four generations, known as the 105 and 115 series, were produced from spring 1966 to the end of 1993. This makes the Alfa Romeo Spider of the 105 and 115 series one of the longest largely unchanged convertibles built.
When the Spider was presented in the spring of 1966, public opinion was divided. Most Alfisti would have preferred a different successor to the somewhat baroque-looking Giulia Spider.
The workers on the production line nicknamed it Osso di Seppia (octopus back shell) in reference to the shape of the rear end.
