These flap discs consist of sheets (lamellae) of abrasive cloth with corundum grit, evenly and fan-shaped, mounted on a fiberglass backing plate.
The fan-shaped arrangement of the abrasive cloth sheets results in high elasticity and significantly greater performance than other tools. The lamella arrangement ensures cooling during grinding, thus facilitating cold grinding.
These flap discs are characterized by excellent grinding properties. Applications: Machining of weld seams, removal of burrs and rust from steel and non-ferrous metals, cleaning of castings, edge finishing, grinding of edges and corners, surface grinding. Suitable substrates: Metal, aluminum/non-ferrous metals, brass/bronze, plastics/polyester, paints/varnishes, wood, steel.
