The pressure in the engine's intake manifold fluctuates depending on the load (idling, partial load, full load); this pressure is measured by the intake manifold pressure sensor, also called the pressure sensor, and transmitted to the D-Jetronic control unit. The control unit, together with signals from other sensors, calculates the optimal fuel quantity for the respective load and distributes it via the injectors.
