Cayenne (Type 92A), 2010 – 2017

The front cooling air intakes are smaller than those of its predecessor, and the headlights are reminiscent of those of the Panamera.
The interior design also incorporates elements of the Panamera. The vehicle is also five centimeters longer than its predecessor, and the wheelbase has increased by four centimeters.
The vehicle is 40 to 90 kilograms lighter than its predecessor. The weight savings result from the redesign of the chassis, doors, and wiring harness, as well as from the elimination of the heavy transfer case with dynamic inter-axle lock and low-range gear.
In the gasoline-engine variants, except for the hybrid, and the Cayenne S Diesel, an actively controlled multi-plate clutch, a so-called hang-on transmission, is now used instead. In other variants, a Torsen center differential (uncontrolled and mechanically self-locking) is used.
The Cayenne now weighs 2,065 kilograms. The air suspension with variable damping (Porsche Active Suspension Management – PASM) and the PDCC roll stabilization system have been introduced.
