Highly effective fluid for cleaning clogged diesel particulate filters in passenger cars while installed. Dissolves hard, dense, or encrusted deposits on the surface of diesel particulate filters. Ensures optimal driving performance, engine power, and low fuel consumption. Regular cleaning in combination with flushing can prevent costly repairs.
For passenger cars with diesel particulate filters (DPF/FAP).
Cleaning is performed using the DPF pressure cup gun (part no. 7946) and the specially designed DPF lance with 5 spray probes (part no. 7945). Depending on the vehicle type, access the diesel particulate filter. For most vehicles, this requires removing the diesel particulate filter's temperature or pressure sensor. Note: The particulate filter temperature should be below 40 °C during cleaning. In some vehicles, the diesel particulate filter is not located on the vehicle underbody, but near the exhaust manifold or, if applicable, the exhaust turbocharger. For safety reasons, extreme caution must be exercised when cleaning these vehicles to prevent cleaning or flushing fluid from entering the combustion chamber via an open exhaust valve.
Insert the appropriate Pro-Line spray probe into the particulate filter through the resulting opening, depending on the vehicle type. Spray the entire 1 liter of Pro-Line Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner directly onto the surface of the particulate filter in several 5-10 second bursts, with a 5-10 second pause between each burst, at an operating pressure of 6-8 bar. To ensure the entire surface is coated, rotate and move the sensor back and forth during cleaning. Allow the cleaner to work for approximately 15 minutes. Then, rinse the particulate filter with the entire 500 ml of Pro-Line Diesel Particulate Filter Rinse. Apply the rinse using the DPF pressure cup gun at the same intervals as the cleaning fluid. This cleaning process loosens and distributes the soot within the particulate filter to such an extent that it can be burned off during normal regeneration. After reinstalling the sensor, a service center or workshop must initiate a regeneration cycle according to the manufacturer's specifications.
