Alfa Romeo 155, 1992 – 1995

The Alfa Romeo 155 is a mid-range saloon from the Italian car brand Alfa Romeo. It was introduced at the beginning of 1992 as the successor to the Alfa Romeo 75 and remained in the programme until 1998.

In contrast to its rear-wheel drive predecessor, the Alfa Romeo 75, the Alfa Romeo 155 has front-wheel drive with a transversely mounted engine. The only exception is the Q4 version, which, like the racing car, is four-wheel drive and has a four-cylinder turbocharged in-line engine. 

The 155 is based on the Tipo platform. Fiat used it in several models, sometimes adapted in detail depending on the model and engine: Tipo (type 160) ("original platform"), Fiat Tempra, Fiat Coupé, Bravo, Brava, Marea, Multipla, Lancia Delta II and Dedra as well as Alfa Romeo 145, 146, Alfa Romeo 155, Spider and GTV and, somewhat modified, also in the 155 successor Alfa Romeo 156. 

For the V6 and Q4 engine variants, the 155 was also available with an electronically controlled damper system with two settings (automatic and sport).
